ECLIPSE Eyelids rest heavy upon a pasty face as the incessant dripping of the faucet leaks memories into my mind; The whistle of the cargo train Outside, Runs its course throughout my lifeless veins; Footsteps in the gravel drive harmonize with summer's sounds of insects, creeping on my skin - they penetrate the invisible shroud I've covered myself in... As the heavens drop to Earth from their celestial spheres, I envision morning's triumphant liquid gaze While glistening dewdrops fraternize with petals and tips of withering grass blades. The virgin night steals morning's swollen Pride, She brings on salty tears and severs daylight's crippled ties, While this fever burns inside of me: Yellow, orange, electric blue and sultry shadows fuse, a melted pot - the fluid drips like a liquid stain Into the wide expanse of twilight skies and roaming clouds swoop down to Earth's sweaty paws where She screams in broken Gasps, Careening into distant Space where all of night's creatures masticate upon my scarred and weary soul in an unhumanly form of translucent flesh; They crawl like icy fingers and feel like needles prickling down my spine. |

REMOTE move towards the Center, where everything is Broken. relinquish your sighs as the stars dance around your crippled mind... the muteness is almost deafening
Where the wind and rain combine, in unison, they drench the night, Stolen from the tales I heard you divulge about the Woman and her Slant-grey eyes; She was gaping at death through a bloodless mouth, And then nothing was left But the circles of Red around
Her hostile eyes, and still you could not hear a sound through that distorted mouth. Her skin was shaven sheer You stood and watched her esoteric smile through a vale of tears;
Exposed to day, A wintry wash of air that Drenched her callous heart with a Fit of mute despair, As you avert your shifty eyes to meet her static face - and How can you wash away the stains upon her tarnished mind? Deflect your gaze from those Haunting eyes, Like a knife piercing through your soul. |

WILTED dusk obscures what secrets daylight's citrus shine can't see... and the clouds creep in to penetrate the hazy sphere of the makeshift moon as my torrent spirit celebrates the descent of night; and memories - fall with the weight of heaven into fading light.
I lift off layers of unsettled dust from my weary eyes to wipe away the sorrows and pains I wear beneath a placid face and I let them drip away into the vast expanse of blackened skies
As I crawl into subconscious mind and Release the liquid flow of haunting lies into the depthless scope of lime-green grass - Where a broken flower sways like a wilted woman as the fog creeps in and veils her blackened past. |

STARVATION the marked silence of yet another sleepless night casts visions of horrors unto my mind; dismal rays of light seep in through colorless blinds and shed distorted images upon a skeletal frame - And I scream to fall asleep so my reality will stay alive in forsaken dreams, Where a body of perfection smiles at me through a bloodless mouth - a promoter of disease that eats me up inside...
I remember the years of hunger and I feed myself such daunting lies - My body lies immotile and I blink away the time - Now forgotten as tar and nicotine Gnaw away at my fattened flesh
and sighs of joy escape from my lifeless lips... I taste triumph over the food I refused myself as I win the battle with demons that awake me from my semi-lucid dreams;
A curious smile of satisfaction creeps upon my pasty face - The light fades into the distance and darkness overcomes me where the truth slips away. And I see nothing but pallid skin Stretched over bruised bones, and even hunger melts away... I remain - Still as time and skeletal - just like the ghastly visions in my sleep: Dancing to the too-familiar beat of hunger as I feel my weight continue to fall beneath the timeless tolls of slumber. |
